Over the past decade, Amanda has written for national and international outlets including the Financial Times, The Guardian, The Independent, The Telegraph, Stylist, Culture TripMetro, LoveFood.com and olive. She started her career at a national food and drink guide publisher before going on to edit regional lifestyle publications such as The Bristol Magazine and Bath Life, and has ghostwritten non-fiction titles including The Happiness Tracker. 

Specialisms include music and the arts, food and drink, travel and leisure, people and psychology.

Recent reads

During lockdown she helped to establish The Focus, which was founded as a not-for-profit news/views site launched initially with furloughed journalists to raise money for the NHS during the 2020 pandemic.

She is currently freelancing in journalism and providing comms and content services (events, podcasts, magazines, thought leadership) for sustainability-focused design consultancy Hoare Lea.
